McMinn got his Masters Degree from the Manhattan School of Music. He's a veteran of the Newport Jazz Festival, the Pori Finland Jazz Festival, the Terrazo Spain Jazz Festival, the London Saxophone Festival and many others. A powerful influence as a teacher in South Florida, he's currently working with master drummer Abbey Rader and other projects.
